How To Improve Concentration While Studying?

With advanced technology at fingertips, concentrating on studies becomes hard these days. The study is not the only process of just reading lines of a book. It involves understanding the ideas and grasping knowledge. It is so hard to focus when you have so much going on in your head and distractions lead us to defocus from the context.
Here, I’m going to share 5 effective ways to improve the concentration levels while studying.

1) Make a Study Plan:

It’s undoubtedly a very useful method and very important also.  When you have too many things to study, it may seem hard to get through everything. That’s why a perfect study plan should be done before going to bed at night or after waking up in the morning. for example, “I’ll get up at 5 am in the morning, then I’ll read science, then I’ll read history from 9am” This is how to plan. It is best if we write our plan in a notebook or on a board. The perfect study plan teaches us to be self-disciplined, teaches time management. Therefore, it is necessary to make a study plan before studying.

2) Create a Good Study Environment:

We need to create a good environment for studying. We have to make it. The table at which we sit will not be random. When I read a book, I have to put that book and its reference table. Otherwise, often when we read one subject, our attention shifts to another subject. In addition, we have to choose an open room, where outside noise does not usually reach. In this way, a fresh environment can be created.

3)  Avoid Distraction:

Now the main distraction is nothing but mobile phones and other electronic devices. Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, and other distractions that come from our phones and other electronic devices are the biggest barriers to maintaining focus on studies. Engaging in such activities steals our concentration. We should turn off your electronic devices while we are studying, switch it on only when we are taking a break or when we are done.

4) Study With Short Breaks.

Normally, studying for about an hour at a time and then taking a 5-10 minute break is the most effectual study schedule to maintain concentration on a given task. Taking a short break gives our mind time to relax. In these 5-10 minutes we can listen to music, play with siblings, talk to parents or spend time with friends. If we study continuously, our brain will not be able to take any new topic for a while. So, the brain has to rest. So it is very necessary to take a short break.

5) Maintain Proper Sleep:

We studied all day and did not rest my brain – if we continue like this, we will not be able to continue our concentration for long. So we have to sleep 6 to 7 hours daily. This time our brain takes rest. Also, if we feel tired at any time of the day, we can take a short nap of 15 to 30 minutes. It makes our concentration level high.

These 5 tips will surely help you to maintain regular concentration while studying. Strong concentration and a laser-sharp focus will definitely help us in studying efficiently and achieving our academic goals. A calm and composed mindset goes a long way in improving one’s concentration while studying. We must motivate ourself to enrich our work ethic with a sharp focus; we have to always remember that we are in full control of our mental and physical state.
