“Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.” Tony Robbins. Goals are the most important part of the plan, describing what we want to achieve. They also provide focus because once we have a clear target in mind, we can rededicate ourselves and confidently neglect ideas that aren’t contributing to our success. To achieve our dreams, we have to work on our plans and priorities instead of goal setting. Here, I am going to share 5 ways to focus on our goals.
1) Remove Distraction:
If we want to focus on our goals, the first thing to do is to avoid distractions. Distractions prevent any work. It has the greatest impact on student life. Distraction is the cause of reluctance to do anything. distraction mainly of two types- 1) internal 2) external. internal means to bring distraction within oneself. Suppose, while we were studying, something else came to mind that set us apart from reading altogether. And external means distraction from outside. For example, unwanted phone-calls, lots of friends who demotivate us, etc. So, if we want to focus on our goal, first of all, we have to avoid distractions.
2) Surround Yourself With Positive People:
We all know that- The 5 people we spend the most time with are a reflection of us. Always keep yourself in touch with positive people. Because they can inspire us. We can learn something good from them. But, if we are with negative people then we will think of everything negatively just like them. Therefore, stay away from them. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. We have to move away from negative people. Positive people help us reach our goals. Therefore, we should always keep in touch with positive people.
3) Practice The “Pomodoro” Technique:
This technique is very effective. The beginning of this technique abroad. There are many who have succeeded using the “Pomodoro” technique. According to the “Pomodoro” technique,
1) Set your timer for 25 minutes and get to work.
2) When the buzzer sounds, take a 5-minute break.
3) Then, set the timer again and get back to work.
4) Once you’ve done four rounds of this, you can take a longer break, approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
We can practice this so called “Pomodoro” technique.
4) Get Enough Sleep:
Sleep is very important. Everyone needs a minimum of 6 to 7 hours of sleep in 24 hours. Many people think “work all day, stay up all night” because of the stress of work. Our brain will not help. The brain needs rest. If we do any work or study without rest, then nothing will come into our heads. Rest brain helps us to focus on our goals. Even if we take a small power nap, we pay a lot of attention to our work. And, we can focus on our goals and work.
5) Stop Multitasking:
Instead of doing a thousand things at once, share them with time. That is, we need to create a schedule where we will write when we do something. I mean, we have to make small daily goals and meet those goals over time. for example, if we sit down to read for 6 hours and read maths, science, history, geography all continuously, then if we revise later, we will think – “I read it in the morning. I don’t remember why now?” … then Our focus shifts from our main goal. So, stop multitasking and work separately. In this way, we have to fulfill our daily goals.
The above 5 ways help us to focus on the goal. Instead of simply drifting along reacting to what life brings us, take proactive steps to go out and create the future we want. While we can’t control everything that happens to us, we can control ourselves by setting goals to achieve our big dreams.
Just focus on the goals, life will change.
